She is another one of Dr.Gero's with the destiny to destroy Goku. Krillian fell
for her when they first meet. Doing the cell saga she is unable to escape the
persistance of 2nd stage Cell, and gets engulfed in him makinh him 3rd satge Cell
or Perfect Cell, this was done to achieve his dream of the perfect fighing machine.
We don't see #18 again until after the Cell is nearly destroyed by Son Gohan and
spits her abck out. Krillian "rescues" her and they end up getting married and
having a daugther. You might wonder how can Krillian marry a robot he doesn't
he marries a human. Krilllian makes a wiss to the Dragonball asking her to become
human.
