Gene Starwind is the main character of "Outlaw Star". He likes drinking,
shooting, and hitting on chicks.
He is also the captain of the Outlaw Star. At first, his flying skills are questionable,
but as the series progresses, you begin to see that he really is a talented pilot.
He has a terrifying space phobia, caused by a childhood incident.
His father forced him into the only escape pod on a burning ship. Although, at
first, Gene seems somewhat insensitive, he proves that he does have a heart, as
the series continues.

Jim may be small, but Gene would be helpless without him. Jim is a computer genius,
an exellent mechanic, and incredibly mature for his age. Jim often finds adults
to be quite crazy and especially frustrating. He gets upset when everyone treats
him like a child. He wants to prove his maturity, but no one will give him a chance.
He is the first officer of the Outlaw Star. Jim is often skeptical of Gene's recklessness,
but is rarely listened to by the rest of the crew. He also has an obsession with
his car, which he has named Ehefrau(German or wife).
